The negotiation team plays a critical role in our debt settlement process. Once we secure a new client, we begin the work to help them with their debt. As a Supervisor, you will manage, train, and develop a team of 10-15 Negotiators. You will monitor team and individual performance, handle call escalations and exception approvals, and partner with the Payments, Sales, and Customer Service departments. Your group of Negotiators is assigned a pipeline of active accounts where they manage client documentation, work under deadlines, and provide outstanding customer service to their Clients, Creditors, and Internal stakeholders. 

 

Compensation: $26.00-$28.00 per hour, plus commission.

Work Location: Remote- must reside within the U.S.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day work of the team while settling its own portfolio of accounts.
  • Work with the Negotiations Floor Manager and the floor Supervisors to set team and individual goals and communicate production goals back to the team.
  • Identify training opportunities and assist leadership with team members and new hire training.
  • Handle escalation issues and review the team’s work for quality and compliance with guidelines.
  • Conduct team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations.
  • Take escalated calls from clients regarding negotiation issues.
  • Facilitate and ensure that staff meet team performance goals and individual performance goals.
  • Maintain professional relationships with internal departments and customers; reliable, punctual, tactful, considerate of others, and practice open communication.
  • Other duties as assigned.


 

Requirements:

  • Debt Settlement Loan experience is a must. 
  • Lending experience is a plus.
  • Training experience is a plus.
  • Detailed knowledge of creditor guidelines and a strong understanding of the debt settlement process.
  • Outstanding relationship-building and customer service skills with the ability to de-escalate difficult situations calmly and effectively.
  • Superior leadership skills, focusing on innovation and a big picture understanding; adept at conflict resolution, resolving difficult employee situations quickly and effectively.
  • Strong work ethic, flexible and adaptable with a positive attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond to get the job done.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, while utilizing specialized skills of tact and persuasion.
  • Great attention to detail, with the ability to properly apply policies and procedures to various situations.
  • Superior time management, multitasking, and organizational skills; able to work under deadline constraints while completing work accurately and efficiently.
  • Good judgment with a highly developed sense of integrity and ability to consistently adhere to company and department guidelines and accurately apply policies and procedures to various situations.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite, computer literacy skills, and quick and efficient typing skills.
